CLAN WAR - Silent Service (SS) vs. Clan DEVO (DEVO)
CTF Match - Best out of three wins
Scheduled for up to 6 vs 6, we settled on 7 vs 7
This war was held upon the request of Clan DEVO wanting to rematch Clan SS from their previous loss in QW Clanring. We honored their request and Clan SS further accepted the "unnegotiable" offer from Clan DEVO to have the CTF 3.3.12 war on their server.
Well, we tip our hats to Clan DEVO for winning the war. However, Clan SS also learned a few things we somewhat already knew but were confirmed in this match. See below the ping differences between the two clans. Clan SS is not a LPB clan (ping <150 consistently), although we do have 2-3 true LPBs. On the other hand, I believe most would classify Clan DEVO as a LPB clan (ping between 50 - 140) simply from their pings. I also acknowledge that that is also a further reason they were unwilling to negotiate about using a neutral server.
Well, be that as it WAS, we accept our loss and know for a fact that regular quake (CTF or DM) is really at ones disadvantage if one is a HPB constantly locked or completely frozen. Clan DEVO, Good Game. Believe us that if we should we war again, it will be at a neutral server AND will ONLY be QW CTF expert or QW DM Clanring since that is the most fair approach to warring for a HPB Clan such as ours. One suggestion though from One SOLID, GOOD clan to an upcoming one - lose the constant flashing of comments made during a war. It shows immaturity and lack of good sportsmanship! Otherwise, quake on...
