Condition Zero extends the award-winning Counter-Strike multiplayer game with new maps and weapons, while simultaneously introducing new technologies, an extensive single player campaign, and cooperative play.

Condition Zero will include the latest version of the number-one online action game, Counter-Strike, which will be updated to include some of the weapons, characters, scenarios and technology developed for Condition Zero. Day of Defeat puts the player in the shoes of either an Allied or Axis soldier circa 1944, Western Europe.

Day of Defeat programmer, Brandon Russell aka Axis, stated "Day of Defeat 2.0 has a lot of great qualities that will make for great tournament play at the CPL. 2.0 now makes full use of the new spectator and HLTV features. It also takes hold of the voice system so players can now communicate across the map and complete their objectives as a team. Teams will find themselves communicating, working and pushing forward as a team." This tournament will have $25,000 in cash prizes. Complete tournament rules will be released March 15, 2002.
